Blogging: Chapter One

I think the first chapter on blogging is about as good a first chapter on blogging can get. It introduced us to where blogging came from, and showed us a basic progression to what blogging has become today.
I really enjoyed the descriptions of the three examples used for what types of blogs can be found out there. (even though I had no real desire to actually go and read them) And I thought the whole chapter was a great lead into the rest of the book.
Blogging software is a bitch…

There are just way too many buttons to play with behind the curtain of this damn thing. I only just figured out how to give complete freedom for posting comments so that I don’t have to approve anything. Plus I’m starting to get pissed that the site is compressing everything so that I can’t see half of what I’m writing because of my 7″ netbook screen.Plus it doesn’t allow me to use firefox’s nifty little misspell alert underliny deal. I love that alert underliny deal.
I suppose I will have to start using openoffice to write posts if I can’t fix the compression thing. But it’s still going to be a b itch to set up links if they are over too far to the right.

This is a test post to see how the wordpress iPod app works.
P.S. This app is pretty slick, but it does not allow for links which makes it almost useless for what I need.
